Oranges

Annatto and paprika are the most commonly used orange natural colors for food and beverage applications. This is because they provide cost-effective and reliable shades – ranging from light yellow-orange to dark red-orange in hue – for a wide array of applications. They are manufactured at our facilities in the United States, Chile, and the United Kingdom. These convenient colors are available in oil or water soluble forms, as well as, powders, suspensions, and emulsions – any form for any application. They are designed to provide vibrant colors that are easy to use in the manufacturing process.

Annatto

Annatto extract is a natural carotenoid color extracted from the coatings of seeds from the tropical achiote shrub and can be used in either oil-soluble (bixin) or water-soluble (norbixin) forms. It ranges from yellow to orange to red-orange in hue depending on the application and dosage rate. This natural color is a staple in the food and beverage industry, especially dairy, because it provides stable, economical orange shades. Certified Organic liquid and powder annatto is available.

Emulsitech® Paprika

Paprika extract is a vibrant orange to red-orange carotenoid color derived from peppers that are grown specifically for their high-color, low-heat properties in North America, Spain, and India. It can be used in its natural oil-soluble form for fat based applications. Alternatively, Emulsitech® Paprika can be used for convenient and easy incorporation into a wider variety of both oil and water-based food and beverages.
