Purpose:

Joint team responsibility for of all aspects of site operations including goods receipt and raw materials warehousing, milling, blending, finished goods warehousing, order fulfillment and finished goods dispatch. Ensure that all activities undertaken both an individual and team basis are in full compliance with relevant safety, environmental, regulatory and hygiene requirements.

Principal Responsibilities:
Advocates the belief that all jobs can be performed safely and that no job is worth doing that would risk the health, safety, or welfare of their self or their colleagues. Participate in all site safety programmes to work together to improve and prevent injury.
At all times evaluate and act on any activity being undertaken individually or by the team which may present an individual or team safety risk, product contamination risk, environmental risk or other issue (e.g. labeling).
Perform risk assessments and hazard assessments for non-routine tasks.
Driving continuous improvement in all areas initiatives and work to maintain a safe and clean working environment with a high level of cleanliness for themselves and their colleagues.
Communicate any safety, process, equipment issues as soon as they occur.
Ensure all safety checks are carried out and any faults etc. reported accordingly.
Perform routine operations activities based on agreed priorities and task allocation (includes milling, blending, packing and movement of goods).
Follow SOP’s and formulations to ensure correct blend make-up, prepare and label packaging according to product, load and discharge equipment as required, palletize product, safely and as per customer requirements.
Where required carry out activities to assist preparation of blending stock, including decanting, bag splitting, milling, sifting, re-packing and movement of goods; in accordance with instructions.
Assist any other activities directly related to manufacturing and dispatch of goods on site and ensuring supply of quality product to customers.
Ensure all process orders/pick notes/instructions are followed and that where necessary bar-code transactions are completed accurately and samples are taken.
Where required direct or carry out activities to assist preparation of blending stock, including decanting, bag splitting, milling, sifting, re-packing and movement of goods, sampling; in accordance with instructions.
Assist with in blender analysis and QC as required.
Ensure working areas and equipment are clean and tidy at all times and areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each shift.
Ensure packed goods are moved to appropriate storage area on completion of activities.
Attach appropriate paperwork as required for Logistics
Any other reasonable duties as required to maintain the DDW operation.
